SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Glenn B. Peterson of Kenosha, Wisconsin, who passed away on December 20, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Glenn Peterson was born in Waukegan on April 11, 1963, to Charlotte and Ernest Peterson; he married Sheila Chappell on October 12, 1991, in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Glenn Peterson was vice-president of Ernie Peterson Plumbing in Waukegan; he was a member of the Plumbers Union Local #93, Lake County Contractor's Association, the Plumbing and Heating Association of Lake & McHenry County, various snowmobile clubs, and a former member of the Zion-Benton Moose Lodge; and

WHEREAS, Glenn Peterson loved snowmobiling, drag racing, cars, boating, motorcycles, and a was a big "Mopar" fan; he was an avid outdoorsman; and

WHEREAS, Glenn Peterson was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Sr. and his brother, Ernest Jr.; and

WHEREAS, Glenn Peterson is survived by his wife, Sheila; his children, Andrew (Kate) and Brittany Peterson and Michael Chappell; his granddaughter, Irelyn Picou; his mother, Charlotte Peterson; his brother, Ron (Michelle) Peterson; his sisters, Diane (Rich) Gallegos, Linda (Mark) Bentz, and Sharyn (David) Bernhoft; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Glenn Peterson, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Glenn Peterson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
