SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Martha A. Reid of Wheeling; and

WHEREAS, Martha Reid was born in Coatbridge, Scotland; her parents were Edward and Mary (nee McMullen) Burns; and

WHEREAS, Martha Reid was the beloved wife of the late Thomas "Wilson" Reid; the loving mother of Marian (Dean) Argiris, Fiona Reid, and Thomas (Janice) Reid; the dear "Nana" of Sam and Alexandra Argiris and Conner and Brendan Reid; the fond sister of Betty (Harry) Kerr, the late Thomas (the late Josephine) Burns, John (Betty) Burns, and Mary (the late Will) Watt; and the aunt and cousin of many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Martha A. Reid; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Martha Reid as an expression of our sympathy.
