SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard A. Cope, Jr. of Elgin and Wonder
4Lake, who passed away on November 3, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Cope, Jr. was born on November 18, 1939 to
6Richard, Sr. and Helen Cope; he served in the United States
7Navy; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Richard Cope, Jr. was a founding partner of Parr
9Electric, Inc. for over 30 years, retiring in 2001; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Richard Cope, Jr. was preceded in death by his
11parents; his infant son, Jeffrey Alan; his wife, Mary Lou Cope
12(nee Miller); his grandson, Kwinn Mulholland; and his
13step-grandson, Nick Nowotnik; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Richard Cope, Jr. is survived by his wife of 20
15years, Carol; his daughters, Joy (Jay) Mulholland, Julie
16Scoggins, and Janet (Arnold) Moeller; his step-daughter, Anna
17Ramza; his step-sons, John (Stephanie) Ramza, Robert (Jill)
18Ramza, and Steve (Karyn) Ramza; his brother, Jay (Jane) Cope;
19his sister, Terry Cope; and many loving grandchildren, nieces,
20nephews, and extended family; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Richard A. Cope, Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to his
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Richard Cope, Jr. as an expression
8of our deepest sympathy.
