SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Betty R. Knaack of Crystal Lake, who passed away on October 7, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Betty Knaack was born on August 26, 1941 in Elgin; her parents were Albert C. and Clara E. (nee Reiber) Knaack; and

WHEREAS, Betty Knaack attended grade school in Cary and attended Crystal Lake Community High School; and

WHEREAS, Betty Knaack served as a volunteer at Good Shepherd Hospital; and

WHEREAS, Betty Knaack was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, where she was confirmed in 1954; she sang in the Girls Choir and was a member of the Young Peoples Walther League; and

WHEREAS, Betty Knaack was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Betty Knaack is survived by 6 cousins, Russell Olson, Jr., Clara Olson Johns, Ronald Olson, Sr., Marlene Olson, Paulette Knaack and Elaine Easty, and many 2nd generation cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Betty R. Knaack; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Betty Knaack as an expression of our sympathy.
