SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Charles L. Leady of East Alton, who passed away on September 23, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Charles Leady was born on May 5, 1934 in Geff; his parents were Elmer F. and Julia M. (nee Martin) Leady; he married Norma L. Day on April 5, 1966 in Wood River; and

WHEREAS, Charles Leady was employed with the Brass Division of Olin Corporation for 42 years until his retirement; and

WHEREAS, Charles Leady was an active member of the United Pentecostal Church in Wood River for over 25 years; and

WHEREAS, Charles Leady was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Norma; a daughter, Lucinda Bryant; and 2 great-grandchildren, Brittany Thrasher and Adam Vanhorn; and

WHEREAS, Charles Leady is survived by 5 daughters, Tonya (Roger) Risinger, Dawn (Terry) Williams, Robin Farris, Belinda (Raymond) Edelen, and Laurie Monroe; 2 sons, Mark (Nancy) Leady and Drew (Shelley) Leady; a son-in-law, Carl Bryant; 7 grandchildren, Channah (Bryan) Thrasher, Amanda (Michael) Lindsey, Christy (Mike) Vanhorn, Amber (Jimmy) Norris, Chad (Mandy) Bryant, Angel (Kris) Bailey, and Autumn (Jon) Hardin; 10 great-grandchildren, Landon and Brian Norris, Abbigail and Noelan Lindsey, Victoria Thrasher, Brock Vanhorn, Aidan and Colt Bryant, Audriana Hardin, and Jaxson Bailey; 3 brothers, Willard Grove, Bill Leady, and Bob Leady; many extended family members; and a very special friend, Brother Paul Roberts; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Charles L. Leady; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Charles Leady as an expression of our sympathy.
