SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joseph "Ski" Youngman (Mlodozynic), who
4passed away on August 23, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joseph Youngman was born on September 22, 1924 in
6Duluth, Minnesota; his parents were Josephine and Joseph
7Mlodozynic; he later moved to the Waukegan area due to his
8military duties at Great Lakes Naval Station; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Joseph Youngman served his country on active duty
10in the United States Navy for 20 years, retiring as a Chief
11Petty Officer; he went on to serve for 10 more years in the
12Naval Fleet Reserve; and
 
13    WHEREAS, After retiring from the military, Joseph Youngman
14worked at F.W. Means Clean Towel Service for 24 years and as a
15driver and trainer with First Student Transportation for 20
16years; he served on the Park City Zoning Board for 8 years and
17served as Lake County Election Judge for 15 years; he was also
18a member of the Tiny Social Club for several decades; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Joseph Youngman enjoyed playing bridge with his
20friends at Park Place Senior Center; and

1    WHEREAS, Joseph Youngman was preceded in death by his
2parents; 4 brothers; 3 sisters; and a stepson, David Camelli;
3and
 
4    WHEREAS, Joseph Youngman is survived by his wife of 60
5years, Patricia; 2 children, Diana Duff and Richard (Connie)
6Youngman; 2 stepchildren, Karen (Mel) Dahl and Edward (Peg)
7Moeller; 11 grandchildren, Mellisa (Randy) Seely, Vincent
8(Amber) Camelli, Brian Duff, Kevin Duff, Jeremy Bentivegna,
9Stephanie Youngman, Christie (Billy) Franks, Debbie (Jessie)
10Balay, Laurie (Len) Wojciechowicz, Rita Conti, Lynn (Ron) Rich;
11several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren;
12many nieces and nephews; 3 sisters, Emmaline Brock, Joanne
13Mlodozynic, and Lucille Hoppe; and a brother, Robert
14Mlodozynic; therefore, be it
 
15    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
16ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
17family and friends, mourn the passing of Joseph "Ski" Youngman
18(Mlodozynic); and be it further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Joseph Youngman as an expression of
21our sympathy.
