SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Helen Miller of Carlinville, who passed away on August 14, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Helen Miller was born on June 23, 1922 in Shaw's Point Township; her parents were William and Edna Mae (nee Lawrence) Culp; she married Frederick A. Miller on July 9, 1945; and

WHEREAS, Helen Miller was a graduate of Carlinville Community High school; and

WHEREAS, Helen Miller was a homemaker and enjoyed helping on the family farm, gardening, flowers, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family; and

WHEREAS, Helen Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick; and

WHEREAS, Helen Miller is survived by a son, Bill Miller; a sister, Norma Hammann; 2 brothers, Bill (Fern) Culp and Glen (Willie) Culp; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Helen Miller; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Helen Miller as an expression of our sympathy.
