SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Richard B. "Dick" Wenzel of Crystal Lake, who passed away on July 8, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Richard Wenzel was born on August 1, 1931, in Marietta, Ohio; his parents were Roy and Anna Wenzel; and

WHEREAS, Richard Wenzel grew up in Marietta, Ohio, where he was an outstanding athlete and graduated from Marietta College with a degree in geology; and

WHEREAS, After serving his country for 4 years in the United States Air Force, Richard Wenzel worked in sales for Motorola for 27 years; and

WHEREAS, Richard Wenzel is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Nancy; 4 children, Susan (Robert) Liva, Richard, Jr. (Nancy), Clifford, and Britt (Jerri); 9 grandchildren, Robert and Louis Liva, Ted and Abbey Wenzel, Taylor Wenzel, and Jason, Kyle, Nicholas, and Anna Wenzel; a sister, Sophie Morris; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Richard B. "Dick" Wenzel; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Richard Wenzel as an expression of our sympathy.
