SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Thomas James "TJ" Carson, Jr., who passed
4away on June 10, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Carson, Jr. was born in Woodstock on
6October 4, 1981 to Thomas J., Sr. and Karen M. Carson; he
7served in the United States Army for 4 years in South Korea and
8one year in Afghanistan; he spent 3 years as a Civilian
9Contractor in Afghanistan; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Thomas Carson, Jr. received The Afghanistan
11Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, the NATO Afghanistan Service
12Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal
13(4th Award), the Army Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), the
14National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism
15Service Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, and the
16Overseas Service Ribbons (2nd Award); and
 
17    WHEREAS, Thomas Carson, Jr. was preceded in death by his
18paternal grandparents, Donald F. Carson and Mary Alice Carson
19and by cousins, Stephen Carson and Roger G. Whealy; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Thomas Carson, Jr. is survived by his wife,
21Dominga "Mhayanne" (nee Lobrin) Carson; his son, Michael John

1"MJ" Carson; his parents, Thomas and Karen Carson; his sisters,
2MaryAnn Carson and Melissa (Harold, Jr.) Ohrwall; his nephew,
3Harold W. Ohrwall, III; his grandparents, Nicholas and Bertha
4Ann Sobol and Patricia Carson; and many loving aunts, uncles,
5cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
8Thomas James "TJ" Carson, Jr., and extend our sincere
9condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
10him; and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Thomas Carson, Jr. as an expression
13of our deepest sympathy.
