SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Gweneth Mae DePauw of Wauconda, who passed away on July 11, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Gweneth DePauw was born June 23, 1929 in Delavan, Wisconsin; her parents were Leonard and Anna (nee Griffith) Jones; and

WHEREAS, Gweneth DePauw was a resident of Wauconda for 35 years before recently moving to Fox Lake; she was a devoted wife and mother; and

WHEREAS, Gweneth DePauw was a member of First United Methodist Church in McHenry, where she also enjoyed singing in the choir; she also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Gweneth DePauw was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her parents; and a sister, Evelyn; and

WHEREAS, Gweneth DePauw is survived by 4 children, Dennis (Ramona) DePauw, David (Leanne) DePauw, Diane (Michael) Hof, and Donna (Steven) Hamilton; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Eleanor (the late John) Carroll; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Gweneth Mae DePauw; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Gweneth DePauw as an expression of our sympathy.
