SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James Phillip "Jim" Schultz of Zion, who passed away on June 1, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Jim Schultz was born on February 14, 1949 and grew up in North Chicago; he attended Holy Rosary Grade School, North Chicago High School, and the College of Lake County; he served in the United States Army from 1970 to 1972; and

WHEREAS, Jim Schultz was a dedicated Support Services employee for Lake County for 19 years; and

WHEREAS, Jim Schultz was an avid music lover, and enjoyed caring for his pets Chloe, Isabel, and Abby; and

WHEREAS, Jim Schultz was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mary Schultz, and by his sisters, Pearl Scarbalis and Dorothy Smith; and

WHEREAS, Jim Schultz is survived by his fiancee, Connie Horner; sister, Elizabeth (Walter) Sczygielski; brother-in-law, Richard Smith; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of James Phillip "Jim" Schultz, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jim Schultz as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
