SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Steven Edwin Harvey of Waukegan, who passed away on June 23, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Steven Harvey was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 16, 1958; and

WHEREAS, Steven Harvey retired from the Waukegan Police Department in 2008 after 28 years of service as a Lieutenant; he also worked security at Ravinia and Lakeshore Academy; and

WHEREAS, Steven Harvey was a member of the Waukegan Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 and the Patriots Motorcycle Club; and

WHEREAS, Steven Harvey's wife, Linda, also passed away on June 23, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Steven Harvey is survived by his children, Mark Harvey, Theresa Harvey, and Jennie Harvey; grandchildren, Madelyn, Noel, Nicholas, Lucas, Josh, Angel, and Dominique; parents, Morris and Irene Harvey; brothers and sisters, George, Linda, and Mark Harvey; and nieces and nephews, Michelle Schweizer, Sam, Quinn, Eliza, and Jessica Harvey; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Steven Edwin Harvey, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Steven Harvey as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
