SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Cixto G. Casillas of Park City, who
4passed away on June 21, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Cixto Casillas was born in Victoria, Texas; his
6parents were the late Eulogio and Juana Casillas; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Cixto Casillas served his country as a member of
8the United States Army from 1948 to 1952; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Cixto Casillas was employed at Abbott Labs for 20
10years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Cixto Casillas was the beloved husband of the late
12Anna (nee Dluhy); the loving father of Heide Verenski, Manuel
13(Roxann) Casillas, and Eva (John) Buchanan; the proud
14grandfather and great grandfather of many; and the brother of
15Mary Gomez, Felicitas Medrano, Janie King, Candido Casillas,
16Angielita Alamia, Petra Morris, and the late Michael Casillas,
17Manuel Casillas, and Anastasia Bustos; therefore, be it
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
20family and friends, mourn the passing of Cixto G. Casillas; and

2    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
3presented to the family of Cixto Casillas as an expression of
4our sympathy.
