SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John B. Lazzaretto of Rockford, who passed away on June 6, 2014; and

WHEREAS, John Lazzaretto was born in Centerville, Iowa; his parents were George and Marguerita (nee Cora) Lazzaretto; and

WHEREAS, John Lazzaretto served his country as a member of the United States Army; and

WHEREAS, John Lazzaretto was employed for Laborer's Local #152 for 33 years; and

WHEREAS, John Lazzaretto was a member of the American Legion in Highland Park and Veterans of Foreign Wars in Highwood; and

WHEREAS, John Lazzaretto was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph (Rosanne) Lazzaretto and Valentine (Mary) Lazzaretto; sister and brothers-in-law, Mary (Bino) DalPonte and Rose (Martin) Tagliapietra; and a brother-in-law, Angelo Maddalon; and

WHEREAS, John Lazzaretto is survived by his wife, Angie (nee DePerte); 2 sons, John M. (Amy) Lazzaretto and Ted Lazzaretto; 4 daughters, Jeanne (Steve) Roggensack, Lynn (Mike) Thompson, Sara (Jeff Anderson) Moore, and Laura (Jim) Morgan; a sister, Jennie Maddalon; 14 grandchildren, Kristen (Grant) Strom, Michael Lazzaretto, Brennan Lazzaretto, Luca Lazzaretto, Ellie Lazzaretto, Christian Roggensack, Jacob Roggensack, Lexi Roggensack, Dana (Khris) Griffis, Christa (Matt) Chase, Steven (Jennifer) Glover, Nicole (Jason) Kushner, Matthew Morgan, and Luke Morgan; 10 great-grandchildren, Harley and Olivia Kushner, Nate and Lexie Kushner, Jonathan and Lela Glover, Gavin and Layla Strom, and Jacob and Connor Chase; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of John B. Lazzaretto; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Lazzaretto as an expression of our sympathy.
