SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James "Jim" Kroll of Waukegan, who passed away on June 28, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Jim Kroll was born on October 3, 1952 in Waukegan; he graduated from Waukegan High School in 1970; and

WHEREAS, After retirement, Jim Kroll worked at the Ace Hardware in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Jim Kroll was a member of the Yorkhouse Methodist Church in Waukegan; he was an avid golfer, a woodworker, and enjoyed playing the saxophone; and

WHEREAS, Jim Kroll was preceded in death by his step-grandson, Garrett Taylor; father, Jack Kroll; brother-in-law, Jack Braitman; and nephew, Tom Kroll; and

WHEREAS, Jim Kroll is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary Kroll; daughter, Susan (Jason) Yates; 5 step-children, Jeff (Linda) Boyd, Denise (Steven) Cleveland, DeAnna Taylor, Jill (George) Bubalo, and Dale Boyd; 2 grandchildren, Andrew and Haley Yates; 6 step-grandchildren, Olivia, Drake, Alana and Elyssa Cleveland, Nickolas Bubalo, and Justin Boyd; mother, Dorothy Kroll; siblings, Jack (Laurie) Kroll, Jill (Richard) Cruey, Joyce Braitman, Bob (Cheryl) Kroll, Bill (Michelle) Kroll, and Karen (Bob) Schwanke; and many nieces, nephews, and other family; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of James "Jim" Kroll, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James Kroll as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
