SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James "Jim" Kroll of Waukegan, who passed
4away on June 28, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jim Kroll was born on October 3, 1952 in Waukegan;
6he graduated from Waukegan High School in 1970; and
 
7    WHEREAS, After retirement, Jim Kroll worked at the Ace
8Hardware in Waukegan; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Jim Kroll was a member of the Yorkhouse Methodist
10Church in Waukegan; he was an avid golfer, a woodworker, and
11enjoyed playing the saxophone; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jim Kroll was preceded in death by his
13step-grandson, Garrett Taylor; father, Jack Kroll;
14brother-in-law, Jack Braitman; and nephew, Tom Kroll; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jim Kroll is survived by his wife of 34 years,
16Mary Kroll; daughter, Susan (Jason) Yates; 5 step-children,
17Jeff (Linda) Boyd, Denise (Steven) Cleveland, DeAnna Taylor,
18Jill (George) Bubalo, and Dale Boyd; 2 grandchildren, Andrew
19and Haley Yates; 6 step-grandchildren, Olivia, Drake, Alana and
20Elyssa Cleveland, Nickolas Bubalo, and Justin Boyd; mother,

1Dorothy Kroll; siblings, Jack (Laurie) Kroll, Jill (Richard)
2Cruey, Joyce Braitman, Bob (Cheryl) Kroll, Bill (Michelle)
3Kroll, and Karen (Bob) Schwanke; and many nieces, nephews, and
4other family; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7James "Jim" Kroll, and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of James Kroll as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
