SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Frank L. Baasch of Lincolnshire, who passed away on July 11, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Frank Baasch was born in Chicago on April 8, 1926, and was a former resident of Deerfield and Libertyville; and

WHEREAS, Frank Baasch owned the Baasch Dental Lab in Lincolnshire and taught at Northwestern University; and

WHEREAS, Frank Baasch was past-president of the Illinois Dental Laboratory Association, the Deerfield Rotary Club, and served on the board of Success National Bank; and

WHEREAS, Frank Baasch was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Hilma Baasch and by his brother, Warren, and his wife, Jocelyn Baasch; and

WHEREAS, Frank Baasch is survived by his friend and companion, Kay Stucka; 2 children, Jody Springer (Jane Geers) and Thomas Baasch; 6 grandchildren, Sarah (Jeroen) Vaneekeren, Christopher (Leslie) Springer, Joshua (Erin) Springer, Ryan (Alicia) Springer, Nathan Geers, and Kelly (Tyson) Hill; and 5 great-grandchildren, Addison, Isabella, Liam, Christopher, and Caroline; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Frank L. Baasch, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Frank Baasch as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
