SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Martin V. Mueller of Antioch, who passed away on June 17, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Martin Mueller was born on June 1, 1954 in Howell, Michigan; his parents were Alexander and Donna Mae (nee Colvin) Mueller; he lived in the Mason, Michigan area for many years before settling in Antioch in 1984; he married Ruth Salminen on July 16, 1983 in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Martin Mueller worked as a machine operator for International Filing Company in Waukegan for many years; for the past 7 years, he worked for Fischer Paper Products in Antioch; and

WHEREAS, Martin Mueller was a former member of the Antioch Moose Lodge; he enjoyed boating, fishing, traveling, managing his properties in Savanna, and tending to the tumbling scholarship program he began in his daughter Marissa's memory; and

WHEREAS, Martin Mueller was preceded in death his parents and 2 daughters, Heather and Marissa Mueller; and

WHEREAS, Martin Mueller is survived by his wife of 31 years, Ruth; a daughter, Tiffany Mueller; 5 siblings, Lorelei (Leo) Allaire, Donna "Vicki" (Kenneth) McCurdy, Martha (Terry) Olson, Julie (Fred) Robinson, and Alexander Jr. (Shirley) Mueller; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Martin Mueller; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Martin Mueller as an expression of our sympathy.
