SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Bernadette Kathleen Hasquin of Gillespie, who passed away on June 6, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Bernadette Hasquin was born in Litchfield on September 30, 1946 to Vincent and Catherine (nee Murphy) Demuzio; she married David Carl Hasquin on August 14, 1964 in Lexington, Kentucky; and

WHEREAS, Bernadette Hasquin was a career specialist and office manager for the West Central Development Council at the Litchfield Job Center; and

WHEREAS, Bernadette Hasquin was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4547 of Gillespie, and the Saints Simon and Jude Altar Society; and

WHEREAS, Bernadette Hasquin was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; brother, State Senator Vince Demuzio; and sister, Jean Demuzio; and

WHEREAS, Bernadette Hasquin is survived by her son, Vincent J. (Alison) Hasquin; daughter, Victoria Lynn (William) Bruhn; grandchildren, William Bruhn Jr., Rachel Bruhn, Eric Hasquin, and Emily Hasquin; great-grandchildren, Kolson and Brody; sisters, Marlene Demuzio, Catherine Visintin, and Donna Burke; and sister-in-law, former State Senator Deanna Demuzio; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Bernadette Kathleen Hasquin, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bernadette Hasquin as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
