SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of United States Army Private Aaron Toppen of Mokena, who passed away on June 9, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Private Aaron Toppen was a graduate of Lincoln-Way East High School; and

WHEREAS, Private Aaron Toppen will be remembered fondly by all who knew and loved him as a funny, caring, and loving kid who loved fishing the outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Private Aaron Toppen's patriotism and courage will be remembered fondly by his loving family, his fellow soldiers, and the citizens of our grateful nation; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of United States Army Private Aaron Toppen; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Private Aaron Toppen as an expression of our sympathy.
