SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Marilynn A. Mathison of Phillips,
4Wisconsin, who passed away on May 28, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marilynn Mathison was born on January 25, 1942 in
6Chicago; her parents were John and Margaret (nee Steigerwald)
7Lachmann; she married William A. Mathison, Sr. on March 3, 1993
8in Richmond; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Marilynn Mathison graduated from Lakeview High
10School in Chicago in 1960; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Marilynn Mathison worked as a bartender for 40
12years until her retirement in 1993; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Marilynn Mathison loved sewing and crocheting;
14she was also an avid Chicago Bears, Cubs, and Blackhawks fan;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Marilynn Mathison was preceded in death by her
17husband; her parents; and a sister, Laura Foust; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Marilynn Mathison is survived by 5 daughters, Lisa
19(Marty) Harmon, Mary (Dwayne) Buchert, Cindy (Randy) Norgard,

1Josie (Tyler) Weber, and Marlene (John) Butler; 2 sons, Thomas
2(Erika) Harmon and William (Jan) Mathison, Jr.; 14
3grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Susan
4(Daniel) Dorning; and 2 nieces, Danielle (Brian) Reynolds and
5Sulyn (Chris) Musselman; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
8family and friends, mourn the passing of Marilynn A. Mathison;
9and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Marilynn Mathison as an expression
12of our sympathy.
