SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Richard E. Schuett, who passed away on May 6, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Richard Schuett was born on November 15, 1930 in Chicago and was a Prairie View resident for most of his life; and

WHEREAS, Richard Schuett served his country with pride as a member of the United States Army, having served in Japan; and

WHEREAS, Richard Schuett was a retired mechanic at the Ford dealership in Highland Park; and

WHEREAS, Richard Schuett was an antique car collector and enjoyed restoring Model A Fords; he was a member of the Chain O' Lakes Model A Club and the Model A Ford Club of America; and

WHEREAS, Richard Schuett was preceded in death by his grandson, Brian Schuett; and

WHEREAS, Richard Schuett is survived by his wife of 59 years, Yukiko Schuett; 6 children, Ronald Schuett, Victor Schuett, Richard Schuett, Linda Schuett, Judith Walker, and Kathaleen (Bill) Skrzypczak; 16 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Richard E. Schuett; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Richard Schuett as an expression of our sympathy.
