SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Penelope Faye Bryan-McQueen of Harvard, who passed away on April 20, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Penelope Bryan-McQueen was born in Normal; her parents were Dr. Fred and Leota (nee Nickerson) Bryan; she married Coy McQueen on February 20, 1982; and

WHEREAS, Penelope Bryan-McQueen attended the University of Illinois in Champaign, but was a lifelong learner; and

WHEREAS, Penelope Bryan-McQueen worked for Northwest Airlines for 36 years; and

WHEREAS, Penelope Bryan-McQueen enjoyed traveling and spending her time teaching in English as a Second Language courses; and

WHEREAS, Penelope Bryan-McQueen was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jacqueline Bryan; and

WHEREAS, Penelope Bryan-McQueen is survived by her husband, Coy; 2 children, Emily McQueen (Kyle Stahl) and Molly McQueen; a sister, Sara (Michael) Gile; and nieces and nephews, Bryan, Ashley, and Colin Gile; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Penelope Faye Bryan-McQueen; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Penelope Bryan-McQueen as an expression of our sympathy.
