SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Annapurna "Purni" Antisdel of Urbana, who passed away on February 22, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Annapurna Antisdel was born in Ketchikan, Alaska on October 2, 1982 to Richard and Barbara (nee Rayska) Antisdel; she graduated from Urbana High School in 2004 and attended the Developmental Services Center, where she participated in The Prompting Theater; and

WHEREAS, Annapurna Antisdel was a member of the Ananda Marga spiritual community; she enjoyed music and musical theater and for many years played baseball in the Challenger League in Champaign-Urbana; recently she had joined Best Buddies International; and

WHEREAS, Annapurna Antisdel was preceded in death by her grandfathers, and by her maternal grandmother; and

WHEREAS, Annapurna Antisdel is survived by her parents, and by her grandmother, Evelyn Antisdel; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Annapurna "Purni" Antisdel, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Annapurna Antisdel as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
