SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert C. "Bobby" Edwards of North Chicago, who passed away on March 11, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Robert Edwards was born in Waukegan on February 3, 1949 to Booker and Arlenia Edwards; he graduated from North Chicago High School in 1968 and served in the United States Marines for 2 years during the Vietnam War; and

WHEREAS, Robert Edwards was preceded in death by his parents, and by brothers, Booker Jr. "Butch" and Richard "Ricky" Edwards; and

WHEREAS, Robert Edwards is survived by his 4 sisters, Donna Johnson, Mary B. Edwards, Arlena Taylor, and Joy Edwards; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special aunts, Lee Cabine and Queen Guydon; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert C. "Bobby" Edwards, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Edwards as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
