SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Sylvia J. Frey of Mundelein, who passed
4away on April 12, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Sylvia Frey was born in Tifton, Georgia on August
621, 1941 to Eddie and Hazel LeFiles; she lived in Quitman,
7Georgia and eventually Columbia, South Carolina; she graduated
8from Columbia High School in 1959 and joined the United States
9Navy, serving during the Vietnam War for 6 years on active duty
10as a medical x-ray technician; she married Tom Frey on
11September 5, 1964 at the Naval Base Chapel in Philadelphia,
12Pennsylvania; and
 
13    WHEREAS, After leaving the Navy, Sylvia Frey was a
14stay-at-home mother and later worked as an x-ray technician,
15certified nursing assistant, and as a retail sales associate at
16several area department stores; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Sylvia Frey enjoyed country music, bowling,
18flower arranging, fixing things, and sewing; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Sylvia Frey was preceded in death by her parents;
20sister, Carol Bobe; and brother, George F. LeFiles; and

1    WHEREAS, Sylvia Frey is survived by her husband, Tom; sons,
2Joseph Frey, James Frey, and Patrick (Tiffani) Frey; and
3brothers, Eddie H. (Jo) LeFiles and Jlee (Lea) LeFiles;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Sylvia J. Frey, and extend our sincere condolences to her
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Sylvia Frey as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
