SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert C. Moehling of Marengo, who passed away on March 28, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Robert Moehling was born on March 31, 1928 in Palatine to Henry and Henrietta Moehling; he graduated from Palatine High School and was united in marriage to Vera C. Moehling on October 16, 1948 in Palatine; and

WHEREAS, Robert Moehling worked as a farmer in Union with his wife; he served as Riley Township Road Commissioner for over 20 years and drove trucks for John Rabe and Herb Swallace Trucking companies; and

WHEREAS, Robert Moehling had a great love of music and played the concertina for most of his life; and

WHEREAS, Robert Moehling was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and by his grandson, Kip; and

WHEREAS, Robert Moehling is survived by his sons, Dale (Brenda) Moehling, Don Moehling, and Dennis A. (Debbie) Moehling; his grandchildren, Kimberlee (Jeff), Kacee (Peter), Donald (Jody), Tim (Lisa), and Sara (Dimitri); his great-grandchildren, Kiylee, Kip, Karmin, Destinee, Adee, Ashton, Aubrie, Kendall, Zander, and Nikos; and his brother, Marvin (Dorothy) Moehling; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert C. Moehling, and express our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Robert Moehling as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
