SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Eugene G. Moore of Morton, who passed
4away on April 6, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Eugene Moore was born on November 7, 1925 in
6Peoria; his parents were George and Julia (nee Tjaden) Moore;
7he married Dorothy Long, who preceded him in death; he later
8married Ruth Harper, who preceded him in death; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Eugene Moore served his country as a member of the
10United States Navy during World War II, serving as signalman
11aboard the USS LaGrange; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Eugene Moore was a business agent for the Painters
13Local 157; he later worked as a director of building trades in
14Peoria; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Eugene Moore was a co-founder of the Thomas
16Jefferson Educational Foundation, Inc.; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Eugene Moore was preceded in death by one brother
18and one sister; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Eugene Moore is survived by 6 children, Thomas

2Shilling, Patrick Moore, Jill Minder, and John (Christine)
3Lotz; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and
4nephews; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Eugene G. Moore; and
8be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Eugene Moore as an expression of our
11sympathy.
