SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joseph John Kraft, formerly of
4Libertyville, who passed away on March 17, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joseph Kraft was raised in Edgebrook and studied
6at St. Vincent De Paul Seminary before graduating from Notre
7Dame High School in Niles; he earned his Master of Business
8Arts from the Lake Forest School of Management; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Joseph Kraft was an accomplished entrepreneur and
10founded and operated a packaging company, Kraft Seal and Label,
11in Lake Forest, which he sold in 2005; he relocated to
12Richmond, Virginia to become the general manager of Pan
13Atlantic Processed Films for DuPont Teijan Films; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Joseph Kraft was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic
15Church; he was a coach for all of his children and their
16friends; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Joseph Kraft was preceded in death by his parents,
18Joseph John and Eileen (nee Stanton) Kraft; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Joseph Kraft is survived by his wife of 42 years,
20Linda (nee Sykes) Kraft; his children, Joseph J. (Erin nee

1Quinlan), Mary Therese (Greg) Kraft-Williams, Dr. Patrick
2(Betsy nee Northam), Daniel, and Tracy; his grandchildren,
3Madeleine, Joseph Patrick, Trey, Riley, Parker, Taitum, and
4Annabell; his siblings, Mike, Tom, Steve, Jim, Marge (nee
5Whalen), and Kay (nee Schneider); and his many nieces and
6nephews; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Joseph John Kraft, and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Joseph Kraft as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
