SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Suzanne M. Dopke of McHenry, who passed away on February 28, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Suzanne Dopke was born on November 25, 1933 in Chicago; her parents were Kenneth and Mabel (nee Sawyer) Larson; she married Ronald F. Dopke on November 13, 1952 in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Suzanne Dopke was employed as a bus driver for McHenry School District 156 and Family Services; and

WHEREAS, Suzanne Dopke was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church; and

WHEREAS, Suzanne Dopke enjoyed traveling with her family, wide open spaces, crocheting, raising her Great Danes, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Suzanne Dopke was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Suzanne Dopke is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ronald; her children, Kenneth (Kimberly A.) Dopke, Ronald F. Dopke, Jr., Steven M. (Nancy) Dopke, Cheryl S. (David) Fischer, and Kathleen A. (Mitchell) Sabaj; her grandchildren, Jennifer L. (Timothy) Bodecker, Sarah (Bryan) DeBaets, Kristen Dopke, Nicholas J. (Brittany) Dopke, Heather Vanderhorst, Clayton C. Dopke, Bonnie S. Sabaj, Andrew P. Sabaj, Kenneth (Becky Goodman) Sabaj, and Michael Fischer; her 11 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Bonnie Rielenger; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Suzanne M. Dopke; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Suzanne Dopke as an expression of our sympathy.
