SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Candace H. Cliff of Grayslake, who passed away on March 14, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Candace Cliff was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on May 20, 1946 to Warren and Lois (nee Binninger) Hewitt; and

WHEREAS, Candace Cliff worked at Waukegan Savings & Loan, and most recently, SEDOL, the Special Education District of Lake County; and

WHEREAS, Candace Cliff enjoyed traveling and vacationed at places ranging from Hawaii to the Caribbean to Mexico; she also loved golf and was a member of 2 leagues at Bonnie Brook Golf Course, where she won several championships; in the off season she enjoyed knitting and doing crafts; and

WHEREAS, Candace Cliff was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Candace Cliff is survived by her husband, James; her daughters, Christine (Dave) Holden and Laurie Garrett; her step-children, Thomas (Cathy) Cliff and Cheryl (Mike) Flood; her 9 grandchildren; her 3 great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Richard (Mary) Hewitt and Michael (Diane) Hewitt; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Candace H. Cliff, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Candace Cliff as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
