SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ludwig L. "Vic" Bollero of Lockport, who passed away on February 3, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Ludwig Bollero was born in South Wilmington; his parents were Louis and Catrina Bollero; he was a resident of Lockport for most of his life; and

WHEREAS, Ludwig Bollero graduated from Lockport Township High School in 1939; he served his country with pride as a member of the United States Army Air Corps during World War II; and

WHEREAS, Ludwig Bollero served as an air traffic controller for many years; he was a member of numerous bank boards, the Will County Board, and the Lockport City Council; he also served as Treasurer of Lockport Township High School for 35 years; and

WHEREAS, Following his retirement, Ludwig Bollero served as a devoted starter/ranger at Springbrook Golf Course in Naperville; and

WHEREAS, Ludwig Bollero was a member of the American Legion Post #18, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5788, and Lockport Moose Lodge #1557; he was also a former member of the Lockport Rotary Club; and

WHEREAS, Ludwig Bollero was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia (Henderson) Murphy; his parents; his sisters, Angelina Bolattino, Phyllis (Bolattino) Karstens, and Mary Bolattino; his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Margaret Bolattino; and his nephew, Roger Bolattino; and

WHEREAS, Ludwig Bollero is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 50 years, Veronica; his daughter, Donna (Henderson) Keenan; his grandchildren, Robert Murphy and Colleen, Chad, and Chris; and his nephew, Rolin (Patty) Bolattino; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Ludwig L. "Vic" Bollero; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ludwig Bollero as an expression of our sympathy.
