SENATE PETITION

The undersigned petitioner, individually and on behalf of those residents of the State of Illinois supporting this petition, hereby petitions the Chairperson and Members of the Senate Committee on Legislative Petitions to hold one or more public hearings to consider whether the following proposal should be introduced as legislation in the Illinois State Senate:

Brief Summary of Proposal: Lakeside Tower has become a blight on our community. We demand that action be taken on this facility and that a full investigation be conducted by HUD for the safety, health, and wellness of the community. Enter your email address to sign the petition.

Detailed Description of Proposal: The City of Waukegan has long wrestled with problems at Lakeside Tower. Located on 200 Julian St, the tower built in 1969 has been the source of police calls and code violations for the past several years. The community of Waukegan has had enough. By signing this petition you are calling for a full investigation from Housing and Urban Development to protect the safety, health and wellness of the Waukegan Community.
