SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 801/1-16 new

Amends the Department of Natural Resources Act. Provides that, within 60 days after the Department receives notice that a private entity has materially breached a contract with the Department, the Department shall file suit in circuit court, in the county where the alleged breach occurred or where any party to the action resides, against that entity for breach of contract.

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Department of Natural Resources Act is amended by adding Section 1-16 as follows:

(20 ILCS 801/1-16 new)

Sec. 1-16. Contract enforcement. Within 60 days after the Department receives notice that a private entity has materially breached a contract with the Department, the Department shall file suit in circuit court, in the county where the alleged breach occurred or where any party to the action resides, against that entity for breach of contract.
