20 ILCS 1705/11.1

from Ch. 91 1/2, par. 100-11.1

Amends the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Administrative Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning special education services.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Administrative Act is amended by changing Section 11.1 as follows:

(20 ILCS 1705/11.1) (from Ch. 91 1/2, par. 100-11.1)

Sec. 11.1. To provide for all recipients living in State mental health facilities between the the ages of 3 and 21 years special education services, as defined by the Department, to the extent that such services are practical for each child's needs. Upon discharge of the child, a report of the discharge, accompanied by a report on the special education services received by that child while in the facility shall be forwarded to the State Board of Education and to the resident school district.
