HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to honor Chief Scott Bettisch of Downs on his work and achievements, and thank him for his service to his community; and

WHEREAS, Chief Bettisch serves with the Downs Community Fire Protection District for 15 years, currently as the EMS Chief; and

WHEREAS, Chief Bettisch has worked for Lifeline Medics in Bloomington for 5 years, LeRoy Ambulance Service for 5 years, the McLean Fire Department as an EMT for one year, and for the Hudson Fire Department as an EMT for one year; and

WHEREAS, Chief Bettisch enjoys passing on his knowledge to others; he has taught EMS classes around McLean County and at Heartland Community College for 13 years; and

WHEREAS, Chief Bettisch has been involved in the saving of 9 lives; and

WHEREAS, A celebration and fundraising event will be held for Chief Bettisch on May 22, 2014; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we honor Chief Scott Bettisch on his work and achievements, and thank him for his service to his community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Chief Bettisch as an expression of our esteem and respect.
