HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Sean Ward, of Winnebago High School, on becoming the 2014 Illinois High School Association Class 1A 182-pound Division Wrestling State Champion; and

WHEREAS, Sean Ward compiled a record of 36 wins and 1 loss on his way to capturing his State championship, with his only loss coming during the 3rd match of the season to the eventual Class 3A 195-pound Division champion; he qualified for State his junior year; and

WHEREAS, Sean won his State championship by pinning his opponent in the 2nd period; and

WHEREAS, Sean Ward was an All-State this year with Winnebago High School's playoff football team and he hopes to continue playing football, most likely at the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Sean Ward on becoming the 2014 Illinois High School Association Class 1A 182-pound Division Wrestling State Champion; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Sean Ward as an expression of our esteem and respect.
