HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dovie Ann Anderson, who passed away on February 24, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Dovie Anderson was born in Saltillo, Mississippi on July 29, 1931 to Dr. James and Annie (nee Tolbert) Wilson; and

WHEREAS, Dovie Anderson was a dedicated employee at Signal for 30 years; and

WHEREAS, Dovie Anderson was a member of Johnson Chapel, and later she joined Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church; and

WHEREAS, Dovie Anderson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; her daughter, Murlean Seals; her sisters, Lucy and Welzanna; and her brothers, Cecil and Augustus; and

WHEREAS, Dovie Anderson is survived by her children, Ronald, Steve (Chryl), Barry, Donald, and Chuckie Anderson; her grandchildren, Terrance and Verna Sutton, Rolien and Kenya Seals, Chardelle Seals, Ronald and Tosha Anderson, Maurice and Michelle Jones, Steven and Billie Anderson, and Amber Anderson; her great-grandchildren, Raeshawn Seals, Teja Sutton, Romelo Seals, Haley Anderson, Maxwell and Malcolm Jones, and Dakari Charles Anderson; her great-great-grandchild, Christopher Eli Seals; her brothers, James (Lois) Wilson, Ben (Sherrie) Wilson, and Joe (Lola) Wilson; her sister, Ozema Knight; her brother-in-law, Lecester (Jack) Hodges; and Trannie Wilson; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Dovie Ann Anderson, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dovie Anderson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
