HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Lena-Winslow High School football team, the Panthers, on winning the 2013 Illinois High School Association Class 1A State Football Championship; and

WHEREAS, The Panthers claimed its championship by defeating Downs Tri-Valley by a score of 28 to 21 on November 29, 2013 in DeKalb at Northern Illinois University; and

WHEREAS, The Panthers previously won the 2010 State Championship, making the 2013 championship the second one in the program's history; and

WHEREAS, The Panthers are Adam Wright, Jordan Lee, Mitchell Mikesell, Brendan Eilders, Daylan Chumbler, Brock Fransen, Luke Schubert, Joe Robinson, Tanner Lawfer, Bailey Litow, Ben Moest, Colton Drye, Hollace Julius, Brenton Chumbler, Brandon Seuring, Payden Lingle, Nathan Switzer, Tyler Oakley, Danny Rogers, Jace Oleson, Brett Fowler, Hank Holm, Noah Holmes, Alex Doolan, Chris Stockton, Kade Lobdell, Matt Greene, Ben Schubert, Kyle Kalkbrenner, Josh Brunner, Dyllan Oberle, Justin Pennington, Gus Werhane, Brendan Berens, Anthony Martinez, Alan Myelle, Noah Peight, Issac Lawson, Joe Milliken, Adam Guy, Mitchell Temperly, Mark Voreis, Brian Sisler, Brooks Julius, Michael Packard, Tristan Miller, Brock Gobeli, Justin Shippy, and Trey Chenong; the managers are Maddy Arand, Ali Seiple, and Bailey Baldauf; and

WHEREAS, The Panthers' head coach is Ric Arand and the assistant coaches are Conor Arendt, Kyle Benson, Kevin Milder, Brent Chrisman, Tim Kempel, John Mancosky, Nick Werhane, Eric Benhoff, and Lenny Koehler; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Lena-Winslow High School football team, the Panthers, on winning the 2013 State Championship, and wish them many more years of success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Panthers as an expression of our esteem and respect.
