HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Kyran
4Patrick Conarchy, Jr. of Highland Park, who passed away on
5October 22, 2013; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Kyran Conarchy, Jr. served his country in the
7United States Army during World War II as an air observer and
8the Executive Officer of Battery A; he earned a Bronze Star for
9aiding his fellow soldiers and continuing to lead his battery
10of men during an intense battle in March of 1945; he earned a
11total of 4 medals during his time in the Army; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Kyran Conarchy, Jr. settled in Highland Park in
131949; he worked for the United States Treasury Department and
14then as Vice-President at Harris Bank Glencoe-Northbrook for 39
15years; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Kyran Conarchy, Jr. was a parishioner at
17Immaculate Conception Parish in Highland Park for over 60
18years, where he was a lector, religious education teacher, and
19member of several organizations; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Kyran Conarchy, Jr. was preceded in death by his
21parents, Kyran and Jane Conarchy; his sister, Jane (the late

1Bob) O'Brien; his brothers, William and Jack Conarchy; and his
2brother-in-law, Warren Weithofer; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Kyran Conarchy, Jr. is survived by his siblings,
4Marian Weithofer, Angela Hunter, and Sister Lois Conarchy
5Sisters of Loretto; his sisters-in-law, Mary Conarchy and Jane
6Conarchy; his 42 nieces and nephews; his 88 grand-nieces and
7nephews; and his 56 great-grand-nieces and
8great-grand-nephews, who fondly called him "Uncle Goodness";
9therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
11NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
12we mourn the passing of Kyran Patrick Conarchy, Jr., and extend
13our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who
14knew and loved him; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Kyran Conarchy, Jr. as an expression
17of our deepest sympathy.
