HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Beulah M.
4Floyd, who passed away on October 26, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Beulah Floyd was born on October 5, 1927 in
6Tutwiler, Mississippi to Albert and Mary Jones; she married
7Wilber Jones, Sr.; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Beulah Floyd was a great cook, seamstress, and
9hairdresser, who spent much of her time caring for sick
10relatives; she loved spending time with family, shopping and
11traveling, and playing the role of "family advisor"; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Beulah Floyd was a member of Evangel Outreach
13Center for many years and enjoyed spending her free time
14reading her Bible; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Upon the passing of husband, Beulah Floyd married
16Morris Floyd; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Beulah Floyd was preceded in death by her parents;
18her first husband, Wilber; her son, Michael; her siblings,
19McKinley, Lillian, Albert, Jr., Preston, Henry, and Gloria
20Dean; and her second husband, Morris Floyd; and

1    WHEREAS, Beulah Floyd is survived by her children,
2Josephine (Lonnie) Moore, Wilbert Jones, Jr., Bertha (Charles)
3Anderson, and Patricia Nelson; her step-sons, Morris Floyd, Jr.
4and Gregory Floyd; her 12 grandchildren; her 21
5great-grandchildren; her 15 great-great-grandchildren; her
6sisters, Lillie Unger, Ruthie (Charles) Lewis, Viola Clemmons,
7and Gloria Perkins; her aunts, Robbie Russell and Kate Watson;
8her special cousin, Nellie Ellis; and a host of nieces,
9nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
11NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
12we mourn the passing of Beulah M. Floyd, and extend our sincere
13condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
14her; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Beulah Floyd as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
