HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Yvetta E. Mack, who passed away on October 25, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Yvetta Mack was born on May 20, 1941 in Chicago; her parents were Julius and Mildred Brown; she married Willie Mack in May of 1971 in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Yvetta Mack gave her life to Christ at St. James Catholic Church in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood at an early age; and

WHEREAS, Yvetta Mack was educated in the Chicago Public School system and attended DuSable High School; and

WHEREAS, Yvetta Mack was a homemaker and a devoted mother to her children; in her later years, she enjoyed attending and participating in social events; and

WHEREAS, Yvetta Mack was preceded in death by her husband, Willie; her daughter, Yvette "Red"; her brothers, Julius, Henry, and Edward; and her brother-in-law, Richard; and

WHEREAS, Yvetta Mack is survived by her daughters, Catherine and Mildred (Michael); her sons, Joseph, Kevin (Charlotte), and Demetrius (Sharonda); her sisters, Elsie Holmes and Carol Brown; her 10 grandchildren; her 6 great-grandchildren; her goddaughters, Je'Tuan (M.C.) and Toni; and her many other family members and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Yvetta E. Mack; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Yvetta Mack as an expression of our sympathy.
