HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to honor Dennis Eggemeyer for his work at the Peoria Citizens Committee for Economic Opportunity; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Eggemeyer began his career at the Peoria Citizens Committee for Economic Opportunity (PCCEO) on August 4, 1986; while attending ICC and working in a broadcast internship at G.E. Cable in the spring of 1980, he was introduced to Michael Banks, Executive Director of the Community Action Agency, and McFarland Bragg, the Assistant Director; impressed by the way they went on the air live and produced a professional broadcast, he maintained contact with Mr. Banks; 6 years later, he joined Mr. Banks and became a part of PCCEO; and

WHEREAS, Over the last 27 years, Dennis Eggemeyer has worked tirelessly to spread awareness of PCCEO and its mission, namely the issues of poverty, discrimination, and breaking the stereotypes prevalent in our nation's communities; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Eggemeyer will undoubtedly continue to advocate on the behalf of the disadvantaged in our communities, an endeavor that has our unwavering support; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we honor Dennis Eggemeyer for his work at the Peoria Citizens Committee for Economic Opportunity and wish him success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Dennis Eggemeyer as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
