HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The Marquette Catholic High School Boys Soccer team recently completed its 2012 season; and

WHEREAS, The Explorers excelled throughout the season with a 20-6-1 record and advanced to the IHSA State 1A Finals in Normal; and

WHEREAS, The team competed at its highest level and defeated Urbana University High School 4-1 to win the Illinois State Championship; and

WHEREAS, The members of this body recognize coaches Jeremy Sanfilippo and Tim Harmon and the Explorers for their hard work and commitment that has brought their school and communities this honor; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the members of the Marquette High School Boys Soccer Team on the occasion of their outstanding season and for winning the IHSA Class 1A Championship; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Marquette High School Boys Soccer Team as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
