HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association was organized on March 21, 1963, and is one of the largest and most active county police chiefs associations in Illinois and the United States; and

WHEREAS, The DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association is composed of more than 115 of the county's top law enforcement executives, retired police executives, and private sector partners; and

WHEREAS, The DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association serves city and county police departments, as well as federal and State law enforcement agencies, college and university police, and private business and security firms; and

WHEREAS, The DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association promotes legislation that would enhance public security, facilitate the dissemination of information, provide continuing police training, and promote a better understanding of the police profession in general; and

WHEREAS, The DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association is celebrating its 50th anniversary on March 23, 2013; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we recognize and congratulate the DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association for 50 years of outstanding service in law enforcement in DuPage County and the State of Illinois; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
