HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Jerry R.
4Baker of Marion, who passed away on November 28, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jerry Baker was born on March 30, 1956 in Marion;
6his parents were Thomas R. and Patsy (nee Motsinger) Baker; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Jerry Baker began his career at Baker Auto & Truck
8Salvage, Inc. in Marion; he later worked as a coal miner for
9the Zeigler Coal Company; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Jerry Baker was a member of Friendship Lodge #89,
11A.F. & A.M. in Marion and the Williamson County Shrine Club;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Jerry Baker enjoyed working on cars, racing sprint
14cars at various tracks throughout the United States, jug
15fishing at area lakes and ponds, and spending time with his
16family and friends; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Jerry Baker was preceded in death by his father;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Jerry Baker is survived by his mother; 4

1daughters, Kelli Gravatt, Amanda Baker, Jessica Baker, and Tabe
2Thia; 7 grandchildren, Cameron Baker, Caleb Shelburn, Natalee
3Guibault, Abigail Guibault, Keegan Guibault, Kaleigh Gravatt,
4and Drake Gravatt; a brother, Tommy (Sue) Baker; a sister,
5Traci (Michael) Edwards; 5 nephews and nieces, Chad (Megan)
6Baker, Kyle Baker, Ashleigh (Corey) Hilliard, Dustin Edwards,
7and Landon Edwards; a great-niece, Lexis Hilliard; and 2
8great-nephews, John Baker and Lane Hilliard; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
10NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
11we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of
12Jerry R. Baker; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Jerry Baker as an expression of our
15sympathy.
