HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, It is highly fitting that the Illinois House of
3Representatives pays honor and respect to the truly great
4individuals who have served our country, and in doing so, have
5gone above and beyond the call of duty; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Norman Eggemeyer served as a Sergeant in the
7United States Army with the 87th Infantry Division, 347th
8Infantry Regiment; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Norman Eggemeyer served in France, Belgium, and
10Germany; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Norman Eggemeyer was a part of the infamous Battle
12of the Bulge; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Norman Eggemeyer was awarded the
14European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal with 3 Battle
15Stars, the Presidential Unit Citation, the World War II Victory
16Medal, the American Theatre Medal, the Army of Occupation
17Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal; therefore, be it
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
19NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
20we recognize Norman Eggemeyer for his heroic actions during

1World War II and we thank him for his service to his country;
2and be it further
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4presented to Norman Eggemeyer as an expression of our esteem
5and respect.
