HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Russell J. Horn of Willowbrook, who passed away on September 16, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Russell Horn was born in 1935 in Youngstown, Ohio; he attended Northwestern University and the University of Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Russell Horn served his country as a member of the United States Army; and

WHEREAS, Russell Horn was employed as a telecommunications engineer for AT&T and Lucent Technologies for more than 30 years; and

WHEREAS, Russell Horn was a former member of the DuPage County and Downers Grove Township Boards; he was also a former committeeman for the Downers Grove Township Republican Organization and served on the DuPage Airport Authority Board; and

WHEREAS, Russell Horn was a member of St. Isaac Jogues Church and was active with the National Right to Life organization; and

WHEREAS, Russell Horn was preceded in death by his wife, Linda F. Horn, and a son, David; and

WHEREAS, Russell Horn is survived by a daughter, Deborah (Tom) Buonincontro; 2 sons, Steve (Alycia) and Craig (Amanda Duncan); and 9 grandchildren, Julia, John, Peter, Andrew, Christian, Anna, Evan, Mateo, and Maximillian; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Russell J. Horn; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Russell Horn as an expression of our sympathy.
