HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Yanta
4Robier Wade-Bey, who passed away on September 12, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Yanta Wade-Bey was born on May 8, 1957 in Chicago;
6his parents were Otis Wade-Bey and Willie C. Nettles Bey; he
7married Ester H. Gulley; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Yanta Wade-Bey attended Waller High School and was
9baptized in the Apostolic Church, where he met his future wife;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, Yanta Wade-Bey was employed in the meat packing
12industry for Delray Farms; he also worked at Zenith Electronics
13and at Walgreens, where he worked in security; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Yanta Wade-Bey enjoyed photography, martial arts,
15cooking, comic books, reading, going to the movies, watching
16documentaries, animals, and learning about different cultures;
17he spoke a number of languages, including Korean, Polish,
18Spanish, and Vietnamese; he also loved music and played 17
19different instruments by ear; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Yanta Wade-Bey was preceded in death by his

1parents; 2 brothers, Michael Wade and Dukeith E. Wade Bey; and
2a sister, Breem Q. Wade Bey; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Yanta Wade-Bey is survived by 4 children, Aijalon,
4Demario, Timothy, and Shonair; 8 grandchildren; 2 brothers,
5Othalee Wade and Vinram S. Wade Bey; 2 sisters, Carolyn Wade
6and Jackie Dawson; 3 aunts, Almitor King, Ruby Moran, and
7Costella Cowan; 2 uncles, Julian Nettles Bey and Noble Nettles
8Bey; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore,
9be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
11NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
12we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of
13Yanta Robier Wade-Bey; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Yanta Wade-Bey as an expression of
16our sympathy.
