HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Peter Alan Lentine of Gurnee, who passed away on February 24, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Peter Lentine was born on November 19, 1934, in Waukegan; his parents were Dominick and Anna (Zarlinga) Lentine; he married Cassandra Stone in 1987, in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Peter Lentine grew up in Waukegan and graduated from Waukegan Township High School; and

WHEREAS, After high school, Peter Lentine served in the United States Marine Corps for 3 years; he fought in the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1956, achieving the rank of sergeant; and

WHEREAS, Peter Lentine retired from the Illinois Bell Telephone Co. after nearly 30 years of service; he also served as a Waukegan City Alderman for 12 years; and

WHEREAS, Peter Lentine was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Dominick Lentine; his brother, Joseph; and his grandson, John Michael Walczak Jr.; and

WHEREAS, Peter Lentine is survived by his wife, Cassandra; his son, Perry Lentine (Heather Mason); his daughters, Juliann May, Gina Lentine, Lisa (John) Walczak, Rhonda (Bob) Naylor, Christie (Pete) Commons, and Lori (Jim) Volpentesta; his brother, William (Patricia) Lentine; his sister, Linda (David) DeRue; his sisters-in-law, Renea (Bill) Wiley and Resha (Doug) Balance; his 12 grandchildren; and his 2 great-granddaughters; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Peter Alan Lentine; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Peter Lentine as an expression of our sympathy.
