HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Judge David Michael Hall of Waukegan, who passed away on May 20, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Judge Hall began as an attorney in Waukegan in 1976 and served as a judge for 23 years, retiring in 2012; and

WHEREAS, Judge Hall was an active YMCA Board Member, a musician in the band "Target", and a member of the Waukegan City Club; and

WHEREAS, Judge Hall enjoyed spending time with his family in Eagle River, Wisconsin; and

WHEREAS, Judge Hall is survived by his wife, Karen (nee Thorvaldsen); children, Karsten (Susan) Hall, Soren (Susan) Hall, Bjorn Hall, and Anna Britt Hall; grandchildren, Addison, Ella, and Avery; his parents, Albert and Katy Hall; siblings, Terry Hall, Maggie Hall, and Diane Pendergast; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Judge David Michael Hall, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Judge David Hall as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
